Patient Records

Under the Data Protection Act, an individual is entitled to ‘any personal data of which that individual is the data subject’. To obtain access to your medical records a request must be made in writing and on production of identity. 

All records are strictly confidential and can only be released to a third party (such as an Insurance Company) with the patient’s written consent.  Children over the age of 16 are treated as adults and their medical information and test results will not be divulged to parents without their consent.
