The 'Registered GP' policy ensures that each of our patients has a dedicated GP who oversees and coordinates their healthcare needs. Your registered GP will be your primary point of contact, providing continuity and personalized attention.

We understand that accessing the right healthcare professional promptly is crucial. With our expanded team, we now have more clinical practitioners than ever before, offering a wider range of expertise and services. Our clinical team includes Physicians Associates, Mental Health and Musculo-Skeletal Practitioners, Nurse-led minor illness clinics, and dedicated Care Coordinators. These professionals are equipped to see patients directly, without the need for a referral from a GP.

While this expanded team has impacted the traditional concept of a personal list, where patients exclusively saw their own "registered" GP, it has greatly enhanced patient choice and access to care. This means that you have the flexibility to book appointments with any available clinical support practitioner, based on your specific needs and preferences. We encourage you to explore the expertise of our diverse team and take advantage of the wider range of healthcare services we offer.

However, rest assured that the concept of having a registered GP remains a priority at Richmond Surgery. Your registered GP will continue to oversee your care, ensuring continuity and familiarity in your healthcare journey. In most cases, your appointments will be scheduled with your registered GP, allowing them to provide the personalized care and attention you deserve. In urgent situations where your registered GP is unavailable due to sickness or annual leave, we will ensure that you are promptly seen by another qualified healthcare professional within our team.
